Commercial Director (BE)
Studio Dott is a creative design studio, with offices in Belgium and Hong Kong. With our team of 30 multidisciplinary designers, we help our clients with the design of their physical and digital products, services, environments, brands and strategies. Human interactions are at the core of our work.
Studio Dott is looking for an entrepreneurial and dynamic Commercial Director to strengthen the commercial development of the company. The growing team of Studio Dott has exciting opportunities coming its way and we are seeking an experienced business developer that will help us manage these opportunities and generate others. Although growth is not the challenge, we want to continuously and proactively steer this growth in the right direction. The Commercial Director position is a unique opportunity for a committed individual to make their mark at Studio Dott. You will be based out of our studio in Antwerp, traveling abroad will be required.
We’re seeking someone to set up and lead business development for our strong growth ambitions. As Commercial Director, you’ll build a repeatable sales process and recipe for growth, drive lead development, build and nurture client and partnership relationships. Your role will include
Development and implementation of the business development strategy, in line with Studio Dott’s overall mission and vision;
Creation of a predictable sales process for better qualification processes and lead generation;
Identifying key growth markets and industries, where long-term growth is achievable;
Creating, developing and fostering relationships with decision makers in a broad range of industries;
Generating trust relationships, selling through enthusiasm and relationship building;
Articulation of Studio Dott’s value proposition and development of sales tools, for Europe and Hong Kong/China/Asia;
International travel to build relationships with prospective clients;
Attendance of relevant industry conferences and events;
Contribute to the external communication strategy;
Future hires of business development team members.
What makes you a great fit for this role?
Native Dutch speaker. Fluent in English is a must;
French, Mandarin, German, nice to have;
Experienced in business development, you’ve built sales strategies and processes from the ground up, for inbound and outbound sales;
Solid track record in creating and maintaining long-term and high-level client relationships with the ability to generate trust with new prospects;
Ideally, an existing network of customers and contacts in the manufacturing industry;
Experience in B2B sales, by preference in selling design services and consultancy;
You are a strategic, commercial thinker with affinity for design and innovation;
You are pragmatic with a persevering mindset and a positive attitude;
Strong negotiation skills.
