Petite Abeille and The Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce invite you to the Belgian National Day Celebration in NYC. This year, the famous Flemish band DE KREUNERS will perform for the first time in the U.S. and record their NY live album. WENDY NAZARE will represent Wallonia and enchant us with a medley of her best songs. Not to forget the great kids band Sidewayz, that will open the show! As in years past, the exciting raffle (airline tickets from our generous sponsor American Airline and Brussels Airlines, an Eddy Merckx top bike, an Ipad …), the auction (Lukaku’s jersey signed by the entire Anderlecht football team, life time free brunch for two at Petite Abeille…) and last but not least the famous Miss Belgium contest (winner will receive a basket of Belgian goods as well as a round trip ticket NYC /Brussels, sponsored by Jet Airways). Other entertainment for kids will include non-toxic face painting, balloon twisting/sculpture. Not to mention the great Belgian food that will be presented, and off course: Belgian beer. Belgian Captain Seminar - Bruno Colmant Bruno Colmant, at his young age, has an impressive career in the field of finances, which took him to Deputy CEO with AGEAS (ex-Fortis Holding). Prior to September 2009, he was CEO of the Brussels Stock Exchange, NYSE-Euronext Deputy CFO.Before this, Mr colmant was CFO of ING Group - Belgium and CEO of ING Group - Luxembourg (2002-2006). He started his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. and subsequently worked for Sofina, Intégrale and the brokerage house Dewaay. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics, an MBA from Purdue University, as well as the CFA and Belgian CPA certifications. Bruno Colmant is the author and co-author of 24 books on the subject of financial management.

Discussion & Networking Event with Christine Ourmieres, Vice President and General Manager Air France and KLM, U.S. Air France KLM consolidation: The new Paradigm Ms. Ourmieres will assess the challenges and opportunities tha face the airline industry today, and will explore the joint venture of Air France KLM U.S. and Delta Air Lines as a trans-Atlantic powerhouse and model for the future of airline travel With more than 20 years’ experience working for Air France, Ms. Ourmières has held a variety of key management positions at the airline. She began her career at Air France in 1988 in the Maintenance Department, and then moved to the Information Systems Department until1992, when she transferred to Amadeus as VP Sales and Marketing for the French Market. From 1998 to 2001 she held the position of VP Air France Global Sales, and then was promoted, in 2002, to the position of VP International Sales. In 2005, Ms. Ourmières was named General Manager of Air France and KLM, UK and Ireland, a position that she has held to date. Jacobs started his career as an economist with the IMF in Washington in 1966. In 1970, he joined the UCB Group and has been Chairman of the Executive Committee of UCB since 1987 until the end of 2004. Since January 2005 he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of UCB Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delhaize Group. Georges Jacobs also serves on the Board of Directors of UCB, Belgacom, Bekaert, Spadel and SN Brussels Airlines.
