The Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce (BACC) is a New York not - for - profit corporation, independent of any other non - profit, commercial or governmental organization. The BACC was formed in 1918 in response to the growing commerce between Belgium and the U.S., making it one of the oldest and most established chambers in the U.S. During this time, the BACC has become one of the most innovative service providers for Belgian-American trade. A wealth of experience and international contacts form the basis of our work and success in the U.S. and Belgium.
The BACC has its operational and managerial center in New York City. The New York desk formally represents all members and is the strategic driver for all US activities, events and seminars. The New York Chapter serves as the Executive Office for the BACC, overseeing the activities and budgets of all other chapters.
At all times, the BACC works closely together with the 3 regional trade organisations Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), Brussels-Export and the Agence Wallone a l'Exportation (AWEX). All together we only serve 1 mission, making Belgian ventures successful.
The Chamber has strong local representation in Atlanta and is in the middle of launching local chapters in Palo Alto (Silicon Valley), Detroit, Chicago and Boston. Each chapter has its individual member list and organizes own events. A member of one chapter will be recognized as a member at any of the other chapter if they wish to attend an event, obtain information, etc.

Our chamber has only 1 reason for being: ‘Make Meaning’ to our community, to our entrepreneurs, both Belgians and Americans, both inbound and outbound.
It is a Chamber for, but also by its members, fully user-centered and user-driven.
The BACC steps up the ladder and is more then an event organizer. Through the creation of a unique strategic business center, a strong team is dedicated to make every Belgian-US venture successful.
